Is this my profit per sale?
No. It is your estimated payout after the modeled Etsy fees. Subtract product cost, shipping label, packaging, labor, and other costs to estimate profit.
Does Etsy charge fees on shipping?
Yes. The transaction fee applies to buyer-paid shipping, and U.S. payment processing includes it. An Offsite Ads fee can also apply to shipping on an attributed order.
When does the Offsite Ads fee apply?
Only to an order attributed to an Offsite Ad. The applicable rate is 15% or 12% depending on the shop’s Etsy sales history; Etsy caps this fee at $100 per order.
Why is the amount left slightly above my target?
Prices use whole cents. The calculator picks the lowest cent price estimated to leave at least your target after the itemized fees.
What if the shipping charge alone covers my target?
The result uses a $0.01 modeled item price and shows the higher payout. This is a math boundary, not a recommendation to list an item at that price. Reconsider the shipping charge and real fulfillment costs.
